OK, you want to play. Here are the rules for hopscotch:
- When you start playing, toss a stone into square one.
- If the stone touches a line, bounces out, or lands in the wrong square, you lose your turn.
- If your stone lands OK, hop through the court, skipping the square with your stone in it.
- Use one foot in a single square, but straddle double squares (one foot in each).
- A single square must be hopped on one foot (the same foot you start with).
- When you reach the end, turn around and hop back, moving through the squares in reverse order.
- Stop in the square(s) before your stone, pick it up, and hop into and through the square where your stone was.
- For your next turn, toss your stone into square number two; Repeat the above steps for all numbers.
- If you step on a line, miss a square, or lose your balance, your turn ends.
- On your next turn, begin where you left off.
- You can play alone or with a friend.
- The first player to complete every number on the hopscotch wins the game.
Have Fun!
