| When the winds pick up in Hawaii (and there are always windy spots in Hawaii) the locals hit the water with their kites and kiteboards, and fly! It's amazing to see how fast they travel over the waves, and how high they can leap when they pick up speed. Kite surfing is a relatively new sport, but the numbers of enthusiasts is rapidly growing. "Air Time" can be as long as 22 seconds, and 10 seconds is not unusual. Up, up and away! |
