| This beautiful violin with a delicately placed red carnation evokes emotions of love and peace. The black velvety background accentuates the red tones of the wood and the flower as well. The violin is a four-stringed instrument. It is tuned in fifths. While its use can be traced back to the 9th century in Europe, the violin is thought to have originated in Asia. The small, compact nature of the instrument allows for ease in mobility. In fact, the violin is the smallest instrument in the violin family. It also happens to be the higest-pitched. There is something so wonderful and soothing in listening to a master violin player. Of course, in the hands of a novice, the sound might be anything but soothing. |
